BB&T Atlanta Open at Atlantic Station - Day 1

The BB&T Atlanta Open is the first men's stop on the summer long U.S. Open Series Tour leading up to the U.S. Open. The tournament is held at Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta and this was the second year at this location, which is now its permanent home. This was the fifth year of the tournament and the fourth one I have attended. It's a great spot with shopping and dining all around, a great volunteer staff and great views of the city.

In the last match of the regular season for Georgia Tech, they travel to Clemson for an ACC contest. The Jackets lose the match 4-1 and finish the season 8-15 and 1-9 in the ACC. A tough season, but better days lie ahead.

It is Final Four weekend in Atlanta and Duke visits Georgia Tech for an ACC match. The Blue Devils defeat the Jackets 5-2 on a beautiful afternoon at the new Ken Byers Tennis Complex in midtown Atlanta.

Clemson Travels to Columbia, SC to Play South Carolina

#18 Clemson of the ACC visits SEC member South Carolina in Columbia, SC for an indoor match in March. Gamecocks upset the Tigers 4-3 in front of a great crowd.

My how time flies.

After taking a blog posting break for several years, I have been re-energized to highlight the numerous experiences I have visiting college and pro tennis matches. The world is changing and it is much easier to use photography to tell the story, rather than lengthy written narratives. I hope this gives you a sense of what I experience.
